Surroundings

These mountains are breathtaking,
but they don't take my breath away anymore.

I'm surrounded by landscape that shouts Your name,
but I don't hear Your name anymore.

I'm surrounded by blessings that point to You,
but I can't see past my own hand.

I'm living in a world that You created,
but all I notice is me.

Lord, take these blinders off of my head
and take these lenses off of my eyes.

Help me see You in Your creation again,
and help me recognize Your glory in it.

These mountains are taller than I can climb.
These hills roll farther than I can see.
These rivers run cleaner than anywhere else.
These water falls outnumber words I can speak.

Lord, why do I live here and only see me?
